What could be more romantic for Valentine's Day than cooking together at home? Put out your best dishes and wine glasses, set the table with all the frills and linger over dinner! For the steak lover, we have some very fine steaks that would fit the bill nicely! Our top round roast is roast beef at it's best. Thinly sliced and cooked rare to medium rare (read the cookbook to be convinced!) you will be delighted with this roast. Serve with local vegetables, dessert from Honeybee Baking Company and local wine from Nashoba Winery!
All our beef is from our grass-fed animals on our farm in Westminster, MA. During the spring, summer and fall, their diet consists entirely of pasture grasses from our organic pastures. During the winter, they eat hay and sileage from fields that are managed well, many of which are organic and some that require limited use of fertilizers. We have 50 acres that we rotationally graze and our animals have free access to shelter and the out-of-doors. Our animals are never given antibiotics, medications, steroids or any growth enhancing products. We have not needed to worm our animals which is usually considered standard practice and we attribute this to the sustainable methods and the care that we use. There are no additives whatsoever in our beef. USDA inspected.
